Daniella and Philip's fall photoshoot at The Arboretum was beyond lovely! The weather was stunning, the sun was shining, and their chemistry was one that you feel from a mile away. We were over the moon when they chose us to capture their love. They knew exactly what they were doing in front of the camera.
Daniella and Philip chose a fall photoshoot at The Arboretum because they wanted to embrace the season's amber hues. Luckily, this gorgeous location is filled with so many hidden scenic spots that every backdrop was practically picture-perfect. The Dominion Arboretum at the Central Experimental Farm is always a good idea for the fall session as the light is always different, and there are tons of trails to take photos of. The laid-back feel of the session was fun, and we just chased the light- our favorite thing to do.
Thinking Ahead
We always appreciate couples who go the extra mile to prepare for their sessions. Daniella and Phillip were no exception! They were well aware of our experience as Ottawa wedding photographers and asked us for style advice before the shoot. Unsurprisingly, they followed it down and showed up at the scene looking nothing short of magnificent!
As soon as we met, we were amazed at how good they looked. Daniella wore a stunning wrap dress in classic fall colors. To complete her gorgeous look, she opted for long black boots. Meanwhile, Philip sported a clean and classic look in a black shirt and blue denim.
Capturing Fall's Magnificence in Ottawa
Typically, couples are anxious before the session, which is quite normal. However, Daniella and Philip were easygoing. We were highly impressed by how natural they were in front of our lens. They were relaxed and genuinely enjoyed every part of the session.
As the shoot unfolded, we captured them as they playfully walked across the gardens in a beautiful golden light. It was pure magic! The pictures at the bridge and in the gardens, paired with nature’s landscape, looked absolutely other-worldly. However, one of our favorites was definitely the golden hour when Philip lifted Daniella, showing every bit of adoration for one another.
Of course, the session did not end here! We photographed them by the lake, where Philip lifted Daniella on his back. Every emotion they shared throughout the shoot was in the name of love and affection. For this part of the session, they did a little outfit change. Both Daniella and Philip wore more casual attire.
It was a pleasure watching how adorable Daniella and Philip were during the session. We couldn't have hoped for a better fall photoshoot at The Arboretum. These two are real sweethearts, and a love like theirs is something you do not get to witness every day.
