I am excited to share this Ottawa engagement photo session I did with gorgeous Lena and her handsome fiance, Parth! As an Ottawa wedding photographer, I find nothing more fulfilling than capturing the love and excitement of the couple.
Especially if the couples have a strong and unique vision, the results are truly unforgettable. This was the case with Lena and Parth's Ottawa engagement photo session at Parliament Hill and the Metcalfe Hotel.
Parliament Hill Ottawa
This historic site is where I captured some of my Ottawa engagement photo sessions. It is located in the capital city of Canada, and those who live there can agree that the weather here can sometimes be extremely unpredictable. This Ottawa wedding was no exception to this rule. At the very beginning of the session, the rain started pouring. Thankfully, it was a blessing that the sun came out for the engagement photo shoot on the Hill.
Therefore, we began at the grounds of Parliament Hill, Ottawa, as our first location and captured a few photos of the couple with their adorable furry friend. Lena was wearing a radiant body-hugging floral midi dress. Meanwhile, Parth kept it cool and looked dapper in a white shirt and grey trousers.
As they made their way to Parliament, they tried to stay calm by laughing and joking. The architecture of Parliament Hill is truly enchanting, and we took advantage of the picturesque backdrops. Lena and Parth’s love for each other is so vibrant that the photos fill me with joy every time I look at them. Also, they are one of the most fun-loving couples I know, and this engagement session was like a joyful reunion with old friends.
The cherry on top? We were blessed with the most stunning golden hour Ottawa engagement photo at the building. Believe me, Ottawa boasts some of the most breathtaking sunset views, which make for some stunning photos.
Afterwards, we continued the Ottawa wedding at The Metcalfe Hotel, which is 5 minutes from Parliament Hill. The couple have scouted this venue for the second half of their engagement session. The Metcalfe Hotel perfectly balances modernity, historic charm, and carefully crafted furnishing.
The couple had fabulous clothing taste, and it was evident that the session was going to be fun. Lena wore a sheer, backless, long, colourful dress. On the other hand, Parth complimented the look by pairing it with an orange shirt and cream trousers. Additionally, the couple was playful, energetic, and comfortable in front of the camera. They were so much in love, and it shone beautifully in every shot. As a wedding photographer, I love it when couples bring their personality to their Ottawa engagement photos. It makes the session unique and reflective of the couple's relationship.
Lena & Parth’s playful personalities made for a session filled with laughter and unforgettable memories. It was a joy to spend time with them and to be able to capture their love story. Their session was truly special to me and I am grateful to be able to document their unique love.
