Kathryn & Chris are the absolute best, and we feel lucky to have shot their engagement session at the Arboretum. On the day of the session, the weather was perfect, the sun was shining, and their chemistry was truly magical. When we met the couple, they shared their love for intimate and timeless photos.

So, we shot the whole engagement on a 35mm film camera. Outdoor photo sessions were one of our favorites, with the natural light and scenes infusing so well with photos with a gorgeous layer of drama. Most importantly, we were treated to the most magnificent sunset throughout their Ottawa engagement session.

Memorable Engagement Session in Ottawa

The outdoor Ottawa engagement session was a fun experience with great portraits. This session was both beautiful and entertaining. During the engagement session, Kathryn wore a long beige color wrap-around dress. Meanwhile, Chris sported a casual look in pants and a button-up shirt. We have often seen couples being nervous before the engagement session, which is normal. But these two quickly adjusted and were comfortable and natural in front of the Ottawa engagement photographer. It felt so light, breezy, and fun.

We had the best time shooting at the Arboretum in Ottawa with the classic Kodak Gold 200. It is a classic trail with trees and many hidden gems. Every time we are here, we find new treasures perfect for a magnificent shoot. We strolled around the place and captured their love from different angles with an architecturally impressive background. Some of the most breathtaking Ottawa engagement session shots we captured were Kathryn & Chris walking hand in hand in the lush gardens, sharing a passionate kiss with gorgeous and warm sunlight in the background. Not to miss, the golden hour made the shots look stunning and timeless. Surrounded by the natural beauty, it was easy to walk around and explore the different parts of the Arboretum.

One of the essential highlights of the film photography session was that we captured the vibe of their relationship exclusively on the 35 mm film Kodak Gold 200. Why? The 35 mm film photography just hits differently. As photographers, we love both film and digital photography; however, with film photography, we are always blown away by the results. The photos look timeless, classic, and just out of the world than we can ever imagine. This film photography session in Ottawa was no different.

It goes without saying Kathryn and Chris Ottawa's engagement session was something out of the ordinary. They were the main reason why the images looked so gorgeous and timeless and stood out so differently for us, too. Congratulations once again, and we wish you lots of happiness and wishes as you plan your big day.
